The product XR2006® M-8 alumina with potassium permanganate is an activated alumina impregnated with a mixture of specific chemicals and KMnO4 (potassium permanganate).
The production process adopts advantaged mixed technology, not impregnation old method. The advantaged mixed technology obtains extremely porous spherical granules that ensure a very high chemically active contact surface.
XR2006® M-8 alumina alumina is specifically formulated for the removal from gaseous currents of H2S, SO2, NOX, Formaldehyde, Ethylene, Acid Gases, light Hydrocarbons and SOV (volatile organic substances).
At the end of the operating cycle, when the XR2006® M-8 alumina with KMNO4 is exhausted and therefore is no longer able to perform its specific function, the color of the granules undergoes a transformation from intense purple to gray.
The compounds removed from this type of impregnated alumina are irreversibly oxidized to stable forms, remain fixed in the porous structure and are not desorbed or released into the environment.
