XR101 Premium Grade activated alumina desiccant - uniform and dust free for desiccant air dryers-Spherical, high capacity and dust-free activated alumina desiccant.
The optimized physical properties have reliable water removal for compressed air drying as well as vapor or liquid phase dehydration applications. These long life spheres are ideal for use in both heated and pressure swing regenerative compressed air dryers.
QUALITY AIR DRYER ACTIVATED ALUMINA DESICCANTS:
Reliable compressed air dryer operation:
High quality activated alumina desiccants provide reliable operation of the compressed air dryer. High quality activated alumina desiccants offer high water-loading capacity, high crush strength and low attrition loss. Low quality desiccants can physically deteriorate in service and result in high pressure drop across the compressed air dryer. Once the desiccant has physically degraded, poor performance of the compressed air dryer will require the replacement of the activated alumina desiccant.
High water-loading capacity:
For desiccant air dryers, high quality activated alumina desiccants balance the critical parameters of bulk density, surface area and porosity to allow more water to be removed per cycle. Low quality desiccant characteristics will not be optimized and, as a result, will display low water-loading capacity. A low capacity activated alumina desiccant may allow water to enter the air system, causing corrosion, freezing or equipment malfunction.
High quality activated alumina desiccants exhibit low attrition loss in desiccant air dryers. Low quality activated alumina desiccants can create dust which will plug tubing, valves and gauges, requiring costly maintenance or replacement.
Long service life:
High quality activated alumina desiccants provide high water-loading capacity for a longer period of time in compressed air dryers. Longer service life saves money since activated alumina desiccant replacement is required less frequently.
Essentially any manufacturing facility requires dry air for operating pneumatic devices (valves, switches, etc…), providing good quality air purge for instrument enclosures, or as a general utility. Desiccant air dyers are a leading option. Many other process gases are also commonly dehydrated with activated alumina desiccant. These include nitrogen, hydrogen, natural gas, and carbon dioxide.
